Jeff Cook described Amendment No. 17 to the city’s long-standing local agreement with the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT). The agreement, which dates to 2005 and has been amended repeatedly to extend network coverage and define cost-sharing for relocations and repairs, would have its end date extended to calendar year 2045 while retaining the existing terms and prior amendments.
Cook characterized the item as an administrative extension that preserves the partnership the city has maintained with WSDOT over the last two decades and recommended the amendment be placed on the March 3 consent calendar with the mayor authorized to sign.
The committee voted to forward the amendment to the March 3 consent calendar.
