In executive session Feb. 16 the State Government, Tribal Affairs and Elections Committee moved and seconded that second & gross substitute House Bill 1541 receive a due‑pass recommendation to the Rules Committee. The motion was called, members answered in the affirmative, and the chair announced the bill had passed subject to signatures.
The bill would modify the Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee by reducing the number of members representing veterans service organizations, increasing at‑large positions and adding military experience and personal attributes to selection criteria. Committee staff said there were no amendments to the bill in executive session.
