New Haven Board approves consent agenda including tax-account assistance and property transfers

The New Haven Board moved and approved a consent agenda on Feb. 17 that bundled multiple administrative orders including tax-account assistance, a street-closure request and several property transfers.

Unidentified Speaker (first appearing SEG 127) introduced Item 1, an order from the director of arts, culture, and tourism directing city staff to negotiate with Long Wharf Theater for an extended-duration event at a venue listed in the transcript as "Canal Golf Bullhouse." The speaker also introduced Item 2, a request to close College Street from Chapel Street to Crown Street on Sunday, March 2, 2026, to accommodate student pickup and drop-off from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. "I move the item," the mover said when presenting the street-closure request; another member seconded the motion and the presiding officer called for a voice vote. Members answered "Aye," and the presiding officer declared the item passed.

The consent package also included multiple orders (Items 3–8) concerning assistance with specific tax account numbers and a set of property transfers. The transcript lists transfers of several addresses on Wood Street, James Street, Humphrey Street, Buck Street, Greenwood Street, Frank Street and West Street.
