The Huntington Beach Union High School District board reported a closed-session personnel action and finished routine business Wednesday, approving its annual financial report and adopting the consent calendar.
At the start of the open meeting, the chair said the board had met in closed session and "took one action," reporting that the board upheld the superintendent designee’s findings dated Oct. 1, 2025, and denied an appeal pursuant to Administrative Regulation 312.1 by a 5-0 vote.
Later in the meeting the board considered the 2024–25 annual financial report. The motion to accept the report was made by Miss Carey and seconded by Missus Henry; the board voted in favor (vote recorded as five in favor). The board then moved through the consent calendar; a motion by Dishonnell, seconded by Miss Hernandez, passed 5-0, with no items pulled for separate discussion.
The meeting concluded the open portion and returned to closed session to continue discussions on public-employee appointment, assignment, reassignment, discipline, release and negotiations.
