The resolution noted the district’s collaboration with Orange County Pathways and encouraged recognition of CTE teachers, counselors and administrators who support students pursuing industry-recognized credentials.
President Hill took the reading as a motion and the board conducted a roll-call vote, recorded in the transcript as five 'Aye' votes and the result as 5-0 in favor. The roll call in the record names trustees in sequence (including Missus Paterson, Missus Hill, Mister Forehand and Mister Brackman) and the president announced the motion passed.
Trustees used the discussion period to praise CTE teachers and programs; one trustee asked for a summary of high-school CTE offerings so the community better understands pathways available. Superintendent Doctor Pulver said he typically provides an overview of CTE during his February superintendent’s report and said he will highlight the district’s 17 pathways and work with North Orange County ROP to expand partnerships.
