The Fluvanna County Board of Zoning Appeals used routine procedural votes at its Feb. 17 meeting to elect officers and to ratify remote participation for a board member.
A board member nominated Mr. Morris for chair; the nomination was seconded and approved by voice vote. The board also confirmed a vice chair willing to serve and approved Jenny Faulkner as secretary after a nomination and voice vote. Earlier in the meeting the board voted to affirm the chair’s decision to allow Don Reynard to participate remotely under section 7 of the Fluvanna County Board of Zoning Appeals bylaws.
Board members discussed recording the reason for remote participation on the record; staff noted the member had said he was out of town and that the remote connection was audible to the other members. The board then proceeded through other agenda business, including approval of minutes with corrections.
The meeting closed after the board set its next regular meeting for March 17 at 6 p.m. Don Reynard, participating remotely, thanked the board at adjournment.
