Palmdale council approves Wilson Events contract amendment to extend event services and increase funding

Smith said the amendment would increase the agreement by $335,680 “for a total not to exceed of $585,680” and extend the contract for one year now with a city manager option for a second year extension. Smith said the increase folds both years into a single amendment so staff would be prepared to approve a second year under the same budget if the city manager authorizes it.
Councilmembers asked clarifying questions about the existing contract balance and term; staff confirmed there was roughly $46,000 remaining on the original contract and that the proposed amendment would extend services up to four years total if both options are used. After questions, the council moved, seconded and voted unanimously to approve the amendment.
The contract amendment was considered as part of the consent calendar and passed without recorded dissent.
