The Glynn County Board of Commissioners approved an amendment to the planned development text for ZM-25-35 at 101 Speedway Drive to permit a restaurant use, regularizing the existing Smoke 82 Bar & Grill. Christopher Carey, senior planner, told commissioners the zoning text had not previously allowed a restaurant at that location; the planning commission recommended approval unanimously.
No members of the public spoke in opposition or support during the hearing. The board voted to approve the amendment, which will allow the owner/operator to move forward with required occupancy and alcohol permitting processes if applicable.
