Liberty Snyder of Human Services presented warrants totaling $163,898.32 that included four placements (ongoing placements noted). The board moved, seconded and approved payment of the warrants by voice vote.
Snyder also asked the board to confirm Michael Erickson for membership on the LAC board; that appointment was approved by voice vote. The board approved Youth Activity Fund and Seniors and Adults Fund donations as presented for 2025.
The board considered three contracts Snyder described: a coordinated drop‑in center contract that would pair local supervision with Traverse County coordinator Cherry Rush; a temporary social‑work contract for child‑protection support that carries a rate increase from $66 to $68 per hour for 2026; and a Sourcewell contract to provide adult foster care licensing services beginning in July at an annual cost presented as $17,536.70. Commissioners noted Sourcewell already performs similar licensing work for several counties and described the price as reasonable.
All three contracts, the appointment and the donations were approved in a single motion. The contracts are funded through consortium or program sources and were described as not being county levy dollars where noted.
