A company representative, Mitzi McMahon of HyperFiber/Ripple Fiber, briefly addressed the council to thank staff for the efficient process and to introduce herself; she said she would remain available for questions.
Council member Billson moved the ordinance; the motion was seconded and carried 7–0. Council members said they welcomed additional broadband competition and options for residents.
