Middle school students across the Beaufort County School District showcased months of research and hands-on projects at local science fairs, county presenter Kevin Libby said.
One student described a hydroelectric generator made from foam, a paddle wheel and wiring that used local water currents to spin a paddle wheel and power lights. Another student said their project tested how different sodas affect tooth enamel and explained the project’s purpose in promoting dental health.
Libby said a full video of the middle school science fair is available at the district’s YouTube channel; the broadcast did not supply school names or award information for the projects shown.
