The council voted to deny first reading of an annexation ordinance for roughly 1.081 acres off Cates Bay Highway. Staff said the parcel, owned by the Sandridge Community Improvement Council Inc. and used as part of Sand Ridge Park, is accessed via private easement and lacks adequate public frontage; a motion to deny the annexation carried by unanimous voice/hand vote.
