Keystone Elementary students present video and interviews at Bristol Township school board meeting

Keystone Elementary students and staff presented a student-produced video and a series of on-stage interviews at the Bristol Township School Board meeting on Feb. 25.
Keystone principal Mark Walicki and anti-bullying specialist Steve Pierce introduced the segment, which featured student reporters Tucker Leonard, Benjamin Gallagher, Lucas Storrs, Ryan Kettle and Deandre Moore interviewing peers from kindergarten through fifth grade about what they like at school. Kindergarten student Sloan Parker told the group her favorite activities are “math, gym, and snack,” while other students cited teachers, friends and opportunities to set personal goals.
Miss White, a new kindergarten teacher at Keystone, said she joined the school because she lives in the community and appreciates the support of the kindergarten team. The student interviews emphasized kindness, peer support and pride in school activities.
Board members thanked the Keystone team for the presentation and noted the program’s positive role in celebrating student voice. "We appreciate their work," President Morgan said, and he commended operations, facilities and transportation staff for safely reopening schools after recent winter storms.
The presentation concluded with applause and a board invitation for families to stay and observe the business portion of the meeting.
