Baldwin-Whitehall board approves consent agendas, personnel slate and assistant principal; gymnastics trip cleared

The Baldwin-Whitehall School District Board of School Directors approved several consent and action items during its regular meeting.

On a voice vote, the board approved Business consent items 2.1–2.7 by unanimous vote, recorded as seven in favor and none opposed. The board then approved non-personnel consent items 4.1–4.17 on a subsequent voice vote. Both motions were presented as grouped consent motions and were adopted without discussion.

An individual action item—the student participation for the gymnastics state meet—was pulled for separate consideration because a board member and a participant were involved. That motion passed with six votes in favor, zero opposed and one abstention.

The board approved the superintendent’s personnel report covering items 6.1–6.22. The administration’s recommendation to hire Stephanie Bonarotti as Baldwin High School assistant principal (Act 93, 12-month position) was presented and approved by voice vote with seven votes in favor and none opposed.
