The Montague County Commission approved its consent agenda, adopted routine vouchers and moved several administrative items on the record during the regular meeting.
County administrator Reneta McClure presented the consent agenda, listing vouchers and fund items that included Chestnut Ridge Park ($5,004.99), Kent Monthly ($9,006.55), Mason Dixon Park ($1,001.46), the transportation levy ($48,003.18), the library levy ($11,008.59), EMS levy ($104,002.75), assessor's valuation ($2,048.04), parks and recreation ($22,002.00), and various purchasing card and camp vouchers; the agenda listed a voucher total of approximately $638,009.87. The body moved and approved the consent agenda by voice vote.
The commission also recorded a referral: staff described an objection to a creditor claim in the estate of Charles David Townsend by claimant Albert Claudio Jr., and the body voted to refer the matter to the fiduciary commissioner for handling.
Colleen Lacoun, Commission Office Manager, presented reimbursement requests for several grants: a Community Corrections Grant for $18,892.75; Governor's Highway Safety Program reimbursements including Safe Communities ($554.91), Impaired Driving ($2,356.65) and Distracted Driving ($414.60); and a VOCA grant reimbursement of $8,267.17. A motion to approve the grant reimbursement requests was made, seconded and approved. Lacoun reminded applicants that county grant applications are due Friday at noon.
On capital items, staff presented Requisition No. 42 for the Series 2021B Harmony Grove Phase 1 project fund totaling $71,001.85, with proposed payments including $15,615 to EnRoute Properties for tree removal and $30,000 to Adrian Enterprises for project management; the transcript listed an additional payment to the Morgan Henn utility board for a water line but the exact amount was unclear in the record. The commission moved, seconded and approved Requisition 42.
The meeting concluded with routine reports from commissioners and an adjournment motion that passed.
What happens next: Reimbursement requests will be processed as approved; the estate creditor claim now resides with the fiduciary commissioner for follow-up; Harmony Grove project payments will proceed per the approved requisition.
