Committee clarifies substitute-motion rules, schedules water task force update and presentations

The chair also announced upcoming agenda items: a water task force update by Senator Kenny Titus (co-chair of the water program task force) with a final report due in January 2027; a February 9 grasslands discussion with Agriculture Secretary Mike Beam; a briefing on the Mussel Center for Sustainable Wheat production; and a multi-day presentation from the Kansas Department of Agriculture on food safety inspectors. Mosher confirmed the committee will meet at 2:00 p.m. on February 9 in the same room.
