The Town of Wells Planning Board unanimously approved a 90-day extension for the Bald Hill RV Park application to allow staff more time to review submitted plans and for the Maine Department of Environmental Protection to issue a stormwater permit. Jamie, a representative of Mainland Development speaking on behalf of applicant Richard Lewis, said the firm had submitted plans to staff and was “still waiting for the DEP to issue our stormwater permit.”
The extension request was presented during the development-review portion of the Feb. 9 meeting. The board discussed whether 60 or 90 days was appropriate; after a motion and second the board approved the 90-day extension by voice vote. The transcript records the outcome as unanimous; individual mover/second names were not recorded in the meeting transcript.
Earlier in the meeting the board also moved to accept the Jan. 12 minutes; that motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. The minutes approval and the extension were both recorded as unanimous in the transcript, with no roll-call vote recorded.
A board member asked whether staff had received a digital copy of the Bald Hill files; the applicant confirmed hard copies were delivered and said they would provide a digital copy later so staff could continue review. No further conditions, amended motions, or deadlines beyond the 90-day extension were recorded in the transcript.
The board did not take additional formal action on Bald Hill at the Feb. 9 meeting. The application remains under staff review and is pending the DEP stormwater permit required for final site review.
