Panama City awards $930,240 contract for Briarcliff Road utility and repaving work; construction due this spring

An unidentified city staff member announced that Panama City will carry out utility replacements and full repaving on a section of Briarcliff Road this year, funded by the State Revolving Fund (SRF).

The project, described as part of the Area H Improvements, covers the stretch of Briarcliff Road south of Baldwin Road, north of 23rd Street, east of State and west of Jenks. The speaker said the area has aging infrastructure and an urgent need for repairs.

City officials said the work will include water service replacements, sewer main replacements and full road repaving intended to improve reliability, safety and driving conditions for residents. Funding for the project is coming from the State Revolving Fund (SRF), the announcement said.

The city awarded the contract to Main Line Construction LLC after that firm submitted the lowest responsive bid of $930,240.33.
