The Elkhart Historic and Cultural Preservation Commission convened at 7:07 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20. After a roll call, the commission approved the meeting agenda and the minutes from its Oct. 16 meeting by voice vote.
During new business, the commission considered its proposed 2026 calendar, which keeps regular meetings on the third Thursday of each month. Speaker 2 moved to approve the calendar, the motion was seconded, and members approved it by voice vote.
There were no visitors and no old‑business updates from staff or neighborhood contacts. The commission received two staff reports (Certificates of Appropriateness) on roof replacements and asked no questions about those items. Presiding Official reminded commissioners of Indiana Landmarks’ holiday open house at the Pol Dor House in South Bend (402 West Navarre Street) on Dec. 9 from 5 to 7 p.m.; tickets are available through Indiana Landmarks.
A motion to adjourn was moved, seconded and approved by voice; the meeting ended at 7:16 p.m.
