Eric Goodall, who supervises the street engineering design team, added details on specific bridge and street projects: on De La Vina the team is installing additional ADA ramps and reflective beacons; a Carpenteria Street bridge replacement is planned for 2027; Islay Street bridge and sidewalk widening is in design to add continuous sidewalks on both sides.
Staff also noted two downtown intersection reconstructions and that new ‘‘blue zones’’ for accessible parking were installed this week in two Funk Zone locations, with two additional blue zones planned near Yanonali Street when related crosswalk projects are constructed.
Committee members asked to receive the full list of 47 priority bid packages by email and discussed the potential to form an ad hoc to review which packages to prioritize for forthcoming bids.
