The district introduced Ginny Stradley as the new executive director of the Fund for Public Education. Stradley, who said her family has multi‑generational ties to the community, described a career in nonprofit and community and technical education and said she wants to build fundraising systems to fill student needs.
"It is such an honor now to bring this full circle and come back to work with the school district to raise funds on behalf of these students that need so much," Stradley said. She told trustees she has met principals and the fund board and invited collaboration to identify gaps and priorities.
Trustees welcomed the hire and asked questions about immediate priorities; Stradley said she had been on the job about a week and would be focusing on connecting donors, clarifying processes with schools and accelerating gap‑filling grants.
