Moore, who said she will retire Jan. 6, thanked staff including "Hyatt" and "Jonathan" for their support and urged the committee to continue applying equitable criteria in awarding funds so money reaches people who need help to avoid homelessness. "I will be watching," she said.
Cochair Antonio Felipe offered remarks about the challenges ahead, saying the committee faces a housing "crisis" and many bills will be submitted in 2025. He thanked members and offered a brief personal note celebrating his brothers 22nd birthday.
The meeting ended with mutual thanks and Moore adjourning the meeting. The committee did not take a formal vote on leadership during the recorded session.
