Council also confirmed three mayoral appointments to local boards: Kenneth Gregory to the Personnel Appeals Board, Jose Carballo to the Library and Community Service Board, and Cassandra Gregory to the Friends of El Centro Community Service Foundation. Each appointment passed unanimously.
Public works staff said alley construction would proceed after bidding and that contingency planning is likely because of the number of utilities and site conditions in the alley network. Council endorsed moving forward and asked staff to return with bid results and any recommended contract awards.
