The New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission approved a large slate of licensing actions on July 18, including 32 conditional adult‑use licenses, 17 conditional‑to‑annual conversions and a set of annual approvals and renewals.
Director Riggs told the commission that about 2,600 applications have been submitted to date and that a little under 2,000 of those have been approved; staff reported a breakdown of application status across licensing and compliance offices. For adult-use licenses the director listed 1,444 conditionals, 350 conditional-to-annual conversions, 182 annuals and 78 expanded ATCs, and described “a grand total of 277 total operating licenses in AU and medical.”
