The Village of Oak Lawn Board of Trustees unanimously approved a broad consent agenda and two disbursement resolutions at its Jan. 13 regular meeting.
The consent agenda, adopted in one omnibus motion, authorized a range of ordinances, resolutions and purchases including a special events liquor license for the 2026 Oak Lawn Fall Music Festival; disposal and replacement of multiple street and public works vehicles (purchase price limits listed in the agenda); two Skyker CPR devices and three stair chairs for the Oak Lawn Fire Department (not to exceed $176,872.08); engineering services for the Patriot Station parking structure ($16,800); and an intergovernmental agreement with Community High School District 218 to place school resource officers at Richards High School.
Clerk-reported disbursement resolution 2025-21D (dated Dec. 23, 2025) for $366,211.63 was approved by roll call. The board also approved disbursement resolution 2026-01D (dated Jan. 13, 2026) in the amount of $14,871,999.19; the agenda notes the larger disbursement relates to ongoing capital and operating needs for the village.
That larger consent block also included contracting authority and purchase approvals for the new joint public works facility and the Oak Lawn Regional Emergency Communication (911) center: a tax consulting proposal from Allen Group LP (not to exceed $95,000), a Commonwealth Edison agreement to furnish and maintain power transmission equipment (not to exceed $60,165.57), and a crane purchase for the joint public works facility (Eusco Cranes, not to exceed $139,485.74). Other consent items waived competitive bidding and authorized various vendor purchases identified in the agenda.
Vote totals were recorded by roll call. When asked individually, trustees recorded affirmative votes and the motions passed without recorded dissents.
The board’s approval moves several procurement and capital items forward; next steps for individual projects will follow standard contracting and implementation procedures identified in each agreement or ordinance.
