Marlington board approves retirements, resignations and supplemental hires in consent vote

The Marlington Local School District Board approved a bundled personnel consent package that included certified and classified retirements and resignations, supplemental employment appointments and two extended days for a staff member.

Items recorded in the meeting: retirement of a Lexington first‑grade teacher, several classified retirements including a head cook and another long‑serving staff member, resignations including a recently hired certified teacher who resigned within a week and an intervention specialist who resigned the day of the meeting, and classified resignations including a bus driver and a custodian. The board also approved supplemental assignments for the math team and wrestling and authorized two extended days for Mr. Evanich; the county will reimburse those two days.

The board approved the entire personnel slate in a single consent motion and vote (5–0).
