Marlington High students honored as Elks/Students of the Month

Principal Ferrell introduced two Marlington High students honored as Elks teens of the month during the board meeting.
Gianna Bogunovich was recognized for her dedication on the varsity volleyball team, involvement in junior‑varsity activities and plans to pursue a college degree in business or radiologic technology. "She brings strong values and a commitment to excellence to everything she does," Ferrell said as he read Gianna’s biography.
The second honoree, Nathan Diepel, was recognized for academic and extracurricular achievements including National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Character Counts Club, and varsity tennis. Ferrell noted Nathan is a 2025 Buckeye Boys State delegate and plans to study electrical engineering after graduation. "Nathan consistently demonstrates maturity, responsibility, and a strong work ethic," Ferrell said.
The board paused business to take photos and congratulate the students; the presentation concluded before the formal meeting continued.
