The Bryan County Planning & Zoning Commission voted to approve an amendment to the final plat for Black Creek Farms West that subdivides Lot 5 (5.13 acres) into two residential lots. County staff recommended approval with the condition that the property owner file an application with the county public health department for review and approval of any individual septic system and secure a 'will serve' letter from the consolidated water utility before recording the plat.
Staff noted the parcel is in a rural-residential area and that most surrounding lots in the subdivision are smaller than five acres. During the public hearing no members of the public submitted speaker slips to oppose the amendment. The commission closed the hearing and approved the amendment by voice vote.
The approval is conditioned on meeting public-health and utility requirements before the final plat is recorded.
