Staff recommended that the board direct JCP&L to show cause why it should not be found in violation, to show cause why a monetary penalty should not be assessed, and to file an answer with supporting evidence by Sept. 10, 2025. Commissioners thanked staff for tracking performance and urged collaboration with the company to remediate issues.
The board voted to approve staff’s recommendation and ordered the show‑cause process to proceed on the schedule identified by staff.
