The New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission on Feb. 18 approved a long list of licensing actions, adopted staff delegations of authority and imposed a $3,500 sanction on a company whose product packaging resembled a children's cereal brand.
Acting Executive Director Chris Riggs provided licensing and market data before the board voted through applications. Riggs said the agency has received nearly 3,000 portal applications to date, with "a little more than 2,000 of them approved," roughly 95 pending review and 389 pending resubmission following cure. He reported "a little over 65,000" patients remain in the medical program.
