Kevin Nedza, the project manager for the Board's clean energy website, gave commissioners a brief walkthrough of the redesigned site at the end of the Jan. 14 meeting, highlighting a mobile-first approach and audience-specific content.
"We designed this website from a mobile first perspective, because the majority of users will come to this through their phones," Nedza said as he demonstrated pages. He showed a top-level "Get Started" menu, a working search function, and audience landing pages organized for homeowners, renters, businesses, contractors, state and local government, and stakeholders.
Nedza demonstrated program pages that include applications, relevant dates, contacts and webinar links; the site also groups information for EVs, solar and resource pages. He noted an FY26 program budget and archive area that is still being populated and said the team prioritized a mobile-first experience and clearer audience navigation.
The board president thanked the project team and staff for the effort and said the new site will improve public access, complement the Board's online docketing system, and help the Office of Broadband Connectivity and other programs reach users.
Next steps: staff will continue to populate archived content and finalize the site for broader public use.
