The committee voted by voice on several agenda items to recommend that the Board of School Trustees consider adding Goodheart‑Wilcox’s Essential Health Skills (middle- and high-school editions) and multiple Health Smart Grade‑5 teacher guides and lesson workbooks to the district’s database of approved instructional materials. Christopher Carroll, CCSD director and the committee’s liaison, said approved resources join a district database from which teachers may choose materials that meet the Nevada academic content standards.
