Gov. Jay Inslee on Monday unveiled the state’s rollout of a $200 utility-bill credit funded by the Climate Commitment Act, saying the benefit will be delivered through utilities and will reach low-income households across Washington.
"Now this is, going to be administered through the utilities," Inslee said, adding that people already enrolled in energy-assistance programs will see the credit automatically. The governor described the measure as part of a broader package of CCA-supported benefits that have funded free youth transit, home-efficiency upgrades and other programs aimed at lowering household energy costs.
