Larry Delgado, the department’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion manager, told commissioners the agency ran a public recruitment and interview process to fill vacancies representing Regions 1 and 6 and an at-large seat. He said more than 20 applicants were considered and that interviews were held in November and December.
