"We felt like that was a really important area that we needed to make sure we, you know, shore up appropriately so that the young people in the system are getting the services and the rehabilitation that they deserve and that our staff are able to work in a safe environment," Robinson said, describing the investments as intended to stabilize operations at Green Hill and Echo Glen as well.
Speakers at the briefing also noted major policy bills from Sen. Claire Wilson and Sen. Braun that remain active on the House side and are intended to work in tandem with budget investments to stabilize the JR system. Robinson said the combination of policy changes and budget investments should preserve rehabilitative settings and improve outcomes, but she did not provide specific dollar amounts or implementation timelines in the press briefing.
