Committee approves agenda placements, notary applicants and veterans report

The Bedford County Rules and Legislative Committee approved several routine items in its Feb. 10 meeting, including placing the Feb. 10 commission minutes on the March 10 county commission agenda and placing notary applicants on the March agenda at the county clerk Donna Thomas's request.
An unidentified member moved to place the Feb. 10 commission minutes on the March 10 agenda; the motion was seconded and the committee voiced approval. The committee then voted to place the notary applicants on the March commission agenda as requested by County Clerk Donna Thomas.
The committee also received a veterans report noting 86 veterans visited the veterans office in January and 49 were transported to VA hospitals; Mister Haley was invited to update the group and the committee voted to approve the veterans report.
The meeting included informational clinic and dental reports; no further action was taken on those items during the Feb. 10 session.
