The Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council on Dec. 17 adopted its proposed meeting agenda and a series of prior meeting minutes by voice vote, then moved into project and program updates.
Chair Kurt Beckett opened the meeting and asked Miss Grantham to call the roll; the chair announced a quorum and the council approved the agenda after a motion and second. The council then read and adopted minutes from several prior meetings, including the Oct. 21, 2025 Carriger special meeting minutes and multiple November 2025 hearing and meeting minutes for Cascade Renewable Transmission proceedings. Those adoptions were handled by motion and voice vote at the start of the session.
Following the procedural business the council heard routine operational updates from project representatives. Jared Cassidy of EDP Renewables said there were no non-routine items for the Kittitas Valley Wind Power Project. Jennifer Galbraith of Puget Sound Energy reported on cleanup following an Oct. 25 turbine collapse at the Wild Horse Wind Facility: "approximately 85% of the turbine components have been removed and transported off-site for recycling or disposal" and remaining components were scheduled for removal before December, dependent on wind conditions. Several other sites reported no non-routine items; facility updates were described as provided in meeting packets.
The chair closed the session after presentations and council discussion and adjourned at 3:23 p.m.
