Narberth council approves consent agenda, commission membership changes, public-works recognition and several capital items; all votes unanimous

Narberth Borough Council unanimously approved a package of routine and capital items during its Feb. 19 business meeting, including an ordinance to change commission memberships, several resolutions, and approvals for multiple capital projects.
Council approved the consent agenda (items a–e) by voice vote. It then adopted Ordinance "10 16 8" to adjust the planning commission roster to seven members, reduce the Environmental Advisory Committee to five members and create an alternate parks-and-rec position; the ordinance had been advertised in advance.
Council adopted a consolidated resolution for the Police Advisory Committee (resolution "20 26 04") to combine the PAC’s original 2022 creation language with membership and charge changes adopted in December 2024. The resolution was described as a document-consolidation and clarity effort.
The council adopted a resolution recognizing public works staff for their snowstorm response (resolution "20 26 06"); staff named in the resolution included public works director Jeff Feldman and other public-works staff, borough manager Maggie Dobbs, and police chief John String.
Capital and payment approvals included final payment (certificate No. 2) to close out the sidewalk replacement project around Narberth Park and Borough Hall; authorization of a 50% deposit ($7,625) to order parts for town clock repairs and scheduling in spring; authorization of $8,000 to add six security cameras at Veracruz Hall instead of a full $45,000 overhaul; and approval of the 2026 road-paving program (about 0.57 miles including Conway, Stewart and Price Avenue segments) with associated manhole and ramp work. Councilmembers discussed resident notifications and timing for road work.
