Board hears water loss rise to 34.7% for the month

At the Nov. 25 meeting, Emily Walker presented the monthly water loss report and said system water loss increased to 34.7% from 29.2% the prior month.
Walker noted recent fires that use unbilled water could have contributed to the increase and said staff will continue to analyze the causes and share calibration results from pressure/flow monitoring equipment. A board member commented that last month's lower number "was too good to be true" and the board accepted the report for the record.
Emily Walker: "The water loss did increase a little bit this month. It's up to 34.7%, which was 29.2 last month."
