The North Aurora Village Board approved two vendor actions during its Feb. 16 meeting: a three‑year street‑sweeping contract and a contract change order for the village’s SCADA water‑system upgrade.
Staff recommended awarding the three‑year street‑sweeping contract to Lakeshore Recycling Systems for $89,238.44, increasing the number of full town sweeps from three to four and including an hourly rate for special events. The board moved, seconded and approved the contract on a roll call vote with all trustees voting yes.
On the SCADA upgrade, staff said TriAir Systems — hired in May 2024 to upgrade water‑system supervisory control and data acquisition equipment — identified additional failed components during a punchlist inspection that were outside the original scope. The original project was $636,500; staff proposed and the board approved a $78,200 change order to replace failing items needed to control and monitor the existing water treatment system. Staff noted funds are available from a $450,000 HMO system upgrade allocation currently on hold.
Both motions were seconded and approved on roll call. No motions or amendments were offered during discussion.
