The Massachusetts House observed a moment of silent tribute for the Honorable Francis Larkin at the request of Representative Murray of Milford. The House record recounted Larkin's service: he earned a JD and LLM from Georgetown University Law Center; served in the United States Army Judge Advocate General's Corps and retired as a colonel; served on the Massachusetts District Court (including as presiding justice of the Milford District Court) and on the Appellate Division; and later worked in legal education at Boston College Law School and Southern New England School of Law leading its transition to UMass School of Law.
The presiding officer extended the House’s sincere condolences to Judge Larkin’s family, colleagues, students and the community he served.
