Council backs commercial redevelopment grant application for downtown rehab project

Community Development Director Miss Solavanti presented Resolution No. 24 08 03 on behalf of property owner Jacob Hansen, saying the grant would help fund a plan to remove the building’s third floor, roof the current second floor, rehab the second floor for housing and renovate the commercial space on the first floor. Solavanti said Hansen has been working with the city’s building and housing official, Pat Green, to identify the appropriate approach for the building’s rehabilitation. The council approved the resolution by voice vote.
