At a recent meeting of the North Wasco County SD 21 board, members arranged mentorship for three student representatives on the district scholarship committee and confirmed that a person named Stewart would serve on a stewarding body in lieu of a board member.
Board members asked staff to compile scholarship committee meeting times and circulate them to the full board. "We'll gather that information and send it out to the board," said Speaker 1. The board agreed Renata and Speaker 1 would "take over that and work on mentoring these 3 lovely" student representatives, Speaker 1 said.
Speaker 2 noted Director Kelly had expressed interest in taking the role in the future. Later in the meeting, Speaker 3 also said they would "express interest in the scholarship committee" and offered to join if eligible; members present indicated assent.
The meeting did not include a formal recorded vote on these assignments. Staff was directed to follow up with scheduling information and to coordinate with Jose to ensure coverage for the committee.
