Wilsonville's City Council voted unanimously on Feb. 19 to appoint Gina Troha as the city's next city manager, following a national recruitment, community reception and executive-session deliberations. Council President Barry moved the appointment, the motion was seconded, and the vote passed 5-0.
Mayor and councilors commended the recruitment process, which used an external firm and included public reception and advisory-panel review. Councilors said the process produced multiple qualified finalists and praised staff and consultants for their work. Troha, who has served the city for many years in increasingly senior roles, accepted the appointment and thanked the council and community.
The appointment was approved subject to a final employment agreement to be negotiated by the recruiting consultants and returned to the council for formal contract approval. Council remarks emphasized continuity of leadership and the expectation that the new city manager will be ready to lead on day one.
Formal action details: the motion to appoint Gina Troha passed 5-0. The hiring consultants will draft an employment agreement to be presented to the council for final approval.
