Student reps, finance subcommittee and CPAC give routine updates at Wachusett committee meeting

Student representative Colleen opened the committee’s reports with announcements about spirit week, the WRHS fall play, the NHS induction, booster-club and DECA events, and recognition of coaches for recent awards. She asked the committee and community for continued support of student activities.
Member Bridal reported the Business & Finance subcommittee met Oct. 9 and provided a business-office staffing update, described reconciling work, and covered encumbrances, special-education transportation, and initial FY26 budget topics. The subcommittee also noted meetings between municipal finance committees and boards of selectmen in Holden related to potential override discussions.
The CPAC liaison said CPAC will hold a virtual membership meeting Oct. 28 at 7 p.m., is sending invitations, and is seeking parent school liaisons. A high-school Simcoe update reported work on a theme (“Better Together”), pathway development, AP program planning and competency determination given MCAS changes.
