The Campbell County School District #1 Board of Trustees completed its annual reorganization and routine administrative motions during a regular meeting, unanimously approving a slate of appointments and procedural settings for the coming year.
Trustees nominated and approved the incumbent chair (referred to in the meeting as "missus Durgan") to continue in the role after a motion, a second and a voice vote in favor. The board also moved to retain the existing vice chair, treasurer and clerk/assistant slate. The board set its regular meetings for 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
In other routine actions, trustees voted to redesignate the district’s bank depositories (including A and B Bank, First Interstate Bank, First National Bank, First Northern Bank of Wyoming, U.S. Bank and the Wyoming Government Investment Fund) and established the Gillette News Record as the official newspaper for Campbell County School District #1. The board also readopted the current district policy listing and rescinded older policy determinations recorded only in past minutes.
The chair read a number of annual committee appointments aloud and announced trustees assigned to each: Mary Bruner, Tim Hallinan and Larry Snyder for the Board of Cooperative Higher Education Services (Voces); Tim Hallinan as the district representative to the Northeast Wyoming BOCES; Mark Christiansen as legislative liaison; and appointments to audit, budget, policy, planning and other committees. Trustees approved those appointments without extended discussion.
The board approved the consent agenda and moved on to other business, including the district audit and facilities updates.
