Evanston council approves routine bills, resolutions and appointments

At its meeting the Evanston City Council handled a series of routine items and votes.
After opening with the Pledge of Allegiance, the council approved the meeting agenda and acknowledged council and work‑session minutes. Council voted to approve the bills and accepted the December revenue and expenditure report. A reappointment was approved for Bill Alexander to the Historic Preservation Commission for a three‑year term expiring January 2029.
The annual limited malt‑beverage permit for Savannah Lowry Arts, Inc. for events March 20–21 was approved on the consent agenda. The council also accepted annual financial disclosure statements for the mayor, council, city clerk and city treasurer as required by state statute.
Council passed Resolution 2605 designating First Bank Evanston and BMO as city depositories, and approved Resolution 2606 to renew a SCADA service agreement with Wetco Inc. for maintenance of the water and wastewater treatment plant control systems; staff said the renewal is the same price and scope as prior years.
Each of these items was introduced, motioned, seconded and approved during the meeting.
