Protection & Welfare recommended approval and the council approved a full‑service retail alcohol license for Steelhead Ale Works LLC after a committee review of premise descriptions. The item passed by roll call following committee recommendation.
In the Utility Committee report, staff requested a one‑year extension of the city’s Cross‑Connection Control Program inspection services contract; the extension is budgeted at $19,900 and was approved by roll call. Staff explained that a one‑year term produced a better price and that a longer franchise‑style contract could be revisited next year.
On planning items, council approved certified survey maps (CSMs) for PAPS 59 to subdivide lots in the innovation/incubation area; the developer explained the CSMs allow flexibility for future buyers while recorded restrictions on the CSM will preserve design and use commitments. Council asked clarifying questions about future lot sales and enforcement; developers and staff said deed restrictions and CSM notes have been added to address those concerns.
Votes were by roll call and were approved by the council during the meeting.
