Administrators said that any mandatory components issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) would take precedence; changes to Board Policy 6235 would proceed through the F&P committee before full-board consideration.
Administrators also previewed summer programming: targeted summer school enrollments beginning in March, breakfast/lunch provisions, credit-recovery through Edgenuity, a pilot Algebra 1 offering with a dedicated teacher, STEM Ignition (funded by the Dunham Foundation) and a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club for a free full‑day camp hosted at Allen Elementary. Staff reported district enrollment as of Feb. 9 at 11,727 students and overall attendance at 89.23%, and said 35% of families had registered in the first 17 days of the registration period with 45.7% of preschool/elementary families registered and 82.7% of elementary families opting into dual language.
