Youth Commission approves consent calendar, hears updates and sets special meeting

Vice Chair Benitez moved to approve consent calendar items 1 and 2 and a second by Chair Malcaba (as recorded) carried with a vote of 4 ayes, 0 nays and 1 absent. The motion was recorded as "to approve items 1 and 2 of the consent calendar." The commission took no further formal votes during the meeting.
Informational presentations followed from senior services, parks/public works and recreation staff. At the close of the meeting Chair Malcolon announced the Feb. 16 commission meeting was canceled due to a holiday and that a special Youth Commission meeting is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. at City Hall. Chair Malcolon adjourned the meeting at 6:53 p.m.
